Kid’s Cure for Cancer is the signature fund raising event for Brent’s Place… an extended-stay, children’s cancer care facility started by Don and Linda Eley (a well-known name in the Denver building industry) as a tribute to their son Brent, who died from a rare and aggressive type of pediatric cancer.
In 2015, a group of Alpine Lumber employee owners organized a small team for this fun event and raised several thousand dollars for Brent’s Place. The following year Alpine more than doubled our number of participants and raised over $5,000 for Brent’s Place. The goal for 2017 is yet another doubling down on our support for this worthy cause.
Along with our growing participation in the Kid’s Cure for Cancer fund raiser, Alpine has also donated thousands of dollars of building materials toward the construction of Brent’s Place Too to help double the capacity of this greatly needed service.
